After a decade of relentless writing and an unwavering commitment to one singular goal, The Suns of Perdition has come to its ultimate conclusion. Over the course of this time, we waded through the necessary madness required to forge such an undertaking. With the benefit of hindsight, it seems more important than ever to return to the place where this epoch of the band all began.

We are elated to announce the re-release of the spiritual progenitor to the SUNS tetralogy; The Lucifer Principle. Originally recorded in 2014 and released in 2016, The Lucifer Principle marked the maturation of PANZERFAUST into the band you see today. This moment in time was a fundamental transformation – a becoming of sorts – that saw the band discover its awaiting identity. For this reason, we saw it fit to re-explore an album that may be unknown to many listeners, but nevertheless, was the essential foundation of The Suns of Perdition that would follow.

The Lucifer Principle adjacently corresponded to the findings of Howard Bloom, in his book of the same name, exploring “the intricate relationships among genetics, human behaviour and culture” arguing that, “evil is a by-product of nature’s strategies for creation and that it is woven into our most biological fabric.”

We would not know it at the time, but this would compose the final testament of the band’s original lineup.

With the unearthing of this release, some of the critical agents of this album have remained the same, while others have changed: The album has been re-mixed and re-mastered by the original producer, and long time shadow-fifth member of the band, Greg Dawson at BWC Studios, while all drums have been re-recorded by Alexander Kartashov at Deadwing Studios in Berlin, DE. While honouring the rhythmic foundations of the album, he has woven his inimitable style into what has become inseparable to the sound of the band.

Consisting of its four original components, the rereleasing of The Lucifer Principle will include a final addendum to The Suns of Perdition, the epilogue:  ’All Grounds Zeroed’.

This will be the last coffin nail.
